My Portfolios

Use the dashboard cards, menus, and editors.

Quick start

  1. Sign in and open My Portfolios from the app sidebar (/portfolios).
  2. On a portfolio card, click Edit (or open the card menu → Edit) to open the content editor.
  3. From the same card menu, choose Preview for a private look, or Open public page when the portfolio is public.
  4. You should now see your cards on /portfolios and know how to open edit, preview, and the live URL from one place.

Concepts first? See Portfolios overview. Creating another site (blank or resume): Create a portfolio.

Deep dive

The My Portfolios dashboard

My Portfolios is the signed-in home for every portfolio you own. The header shows your plan name and how many portfolios you are using. Action buttons on the right can include Create Portfolio, and — when collaboration is enabled for your plan and deployment — Share access and Shared with me.

Always use the canonical /portfolios path. Older /portfolio/... aliases may redirect, but Help teaches /portfolios only.

Portfolio cards

Each card shows the portfolio name (nickname, title, or full name), badges such as Default, Public / Private, or Locked by plan, the public URL row, and optional summary analytics.

On larger screens, available cards also show Edit and Preview buttons. Use View Summary / Hide Summary to expand or collapse the in-card section summary.

If a portfolio is Locked by plan, the card offers Unlock (billing) instead of edit/preview. Its public URL and custom domains are not available until you upgrade.

Card menu (Portfolio actions)

Open the three-dot Portfolio actions menu on a card. Items depend on status (available vs locked, public vs private, default vs not). Typical labels:

Menu itemWhen it appearsWhat it does
EditPortfolio is availableOpens /portfolios/edit/[pid]
PreviewPortfolio is availableOpens /portfolios/preview/[pid]
Set as defaultAvailable and not already defaultMarks this portfolio as your default
Open public pageAvailable and PublicOpens the live /p/[slug] URL in a new tab
Version historyAvailable and PublicOpens /portfolios/history/[pid] (Pro entitlement — see Version history)
Open analyticsPortfolio is availableOpens /dashboard/analytics/[pid] (Pro — advanced analytics)
DuplicateEvery cardCopies content and theme into a new private portfolio and opens the editor. Disabled when your plan cannot add another portfolio (Free / Pro, or Plus at its cap). See Create a portfolio.
Delete portfolioNot the default portfolioOpens a confirmation dialog before permanent removal

A separator appears above Delete portfolio when other menu items are present. Your default portfolio cannot be deleted from this menu — set another portfolio as default first if you need to remove the current default.

Duplicate creates a new private site with a new public URL. The copy is not your default. Uploaded media stays shared (it does not use extra storage). Custom domains, collaborator access, version history, and visitor analytics are not copied. Unpublished draft edits on the original are not included — only the saved live portfolio.

Delete confirmation

Choosing Delete portfolio opens a confirmation dialog. You must confirm before the portfolio and its content are permanently removed. Connected custom domains for that portfolio are disconnected. Optional checkboxes may appear for unused media or an unused custom theme; cancel closes the dialog without deleting.

Empty state and create

If you have no portfolios yet, the page shows Create your first portfolio with a short prompt and a Create Portfolio button. That opens the create dialog (blank or resume import). Full steps: Create a portfolio.

Creating additional portfolios (Plus)

Free and Pro accounts include one portfolio. When you already have a portfolio and your plan does not include multi-portfolios, Create Portfolio shows a Plus upgrade path instead of creating another site.

Plus (with multi-portfolios) lets you add more portfolios up to your plan limit (up to five). The header usage label shows how many you have used. Deep create-dialog steps belong in Create a portfolio.

Publishing, preview, and sharing

Guides still marked draft return 404 until published. The Related section below lists only published Portfolios articles.

Tips

  • Treat /portfolios as your default signed-in starting point after onboarding.
  • Use the card menu for Preview and Open public page so you do not hunt through the workspace menu first.
  • Keep one Default portfolio if you use job search or share links often.
  • Open analytics needs Pro (advanced analytics); the menu may still appear, but the analytics workspace is gated by plan.
  • Prefer Delete portfolio only after you have another default set and a backup of anything you still need.
