Help overview

How Help and FAQ work, and where to go next.

Quick start

  1. Open the Help Center. You can read every guide without signing in.
  2. Decide what you need: short product facts live on the FAQ; step-by-step how-tos live here in Help.
  3. Open Getting started from the hub (or the sidebar) for account and first-run guides.
  4. When you are ready to use the product, sign in and go to My Portfolios — that is your home after onboarding.
  5. You should now know where Help, FAQ, and My Portfolios fit, and which Getting started guide to open next.

New to Portura itself? Start with What is Portura? on the FAQ, then come back here for how-to steps.

Deep dive

Help vs FAQ

Help (/help) is the how-to center: numbered steps, UI labels, and routes you open in the app.

FAQ (/faq) is short Q&A for marketing-style questions and common facts — plan basics, product summary, and similar.

Use FAQ when you want a quick answer. Use Help when you need to complete a task in the product. This guide does not repeat FAQ accordion answers; it links them when useful.

Public Help

Help pages are public. You do not need an account to read them. Signing in is only required when you follow a link into the product — for example My Portfolios, settings, or the editor.

Share a Help URL with a teammate or bookmark a guide before you create an account. Draft articles that are still being written return a 404 until they are published.

Category map

Help is organized by task. Categories roll out over time; each one owns a clear slice of the product:

  • Getting started — Create an account, sign in, reset a password, and finish onboarding.
  • PortfoliosMy Portfolios, create, publish, share, preview, and version history. Home is /p/[slug]; Plus extra pages use /p/[slug]/[page].
  • Portfolio editor — Edit workspace and section groups (profile, projects, and related content). Setup includes nickname, URL, and Pages (Plus). Extra galleries, projects, and other copies live under Additional sections — see Compose your portfolio.
  • Themes — Theme editor and Theme Designer (look and layout, not portfolio field content). On Plus, Layers and preview group by page. Reorder and share in Layers and section order. Header, footer, and site menu: Headers, footers, and navigation.
  • Job search — Job descriptions, match scores, improve flows, and resume / cover letter tools.
  • Workspace — Media library, conversations, favorites, and portfolio search.
  • Account & billing — Settings, billing, analytics, and custom domains. For plan comparison, see Pricing.
  • Public portfolio — Owner guides for the live Home page, Plus extra page URLs, contact form, visitor Mira, and privacy.

Open a category from the Help hub when its guides are published. Until then, Getting started and the FAQ cover the essentials.

Where to go next (Getting started)

Follow these guides in order if you are new:

  1. Create an account — email/password or Google, GitHub, or LinkedIn.
  2. Sign in — return later with the same methods.
  3. Reset your password — if you use email/password and need a new one.
  4. First-time onboarding — accept terms, set up your profile, verify email when asked, then land on My Portfolios.

Canonical app paths

In Help (and in the product), treat /portfolios as the home for your portfolio list. Prefer /portfolios/... paths in bookmarks and docs. Older /portfolio/... aliases may redirect, but guides always teach the canonical /portfolios form.

After onboarding, open My Portfolios from the app sidebar whenever you need to create, edit, preview, or manage publish status.

When to email hello@portura.ai

Use Help and the FAQ first for how-tos and common product questions. Email hello@portura.ai when:

  • Something looks broken and troubleshooting in the related guide does not help.
  • You need account or billing support that is not covered by Help or Pricing.
  • You have feedback or a security concern.

Include what you were trying to do, the page URL, and roughly when it happened. Do not send passwords or reset links in email.

Tips

  • Bookmark this overview and the Getting started category while you set up your account.
  • Keep FAQ for “what is / does Portura include…” questions; keep Help for “how do I…” steps.
  • After you finish onboarding, make My Portfolios (/portfolios) your default signed-in destination.
  • Plan and feature availability details belong on Pricing and the FAQ — Help focuses on the clicks inside the app.
  • Related articles at the bottom of a guide only list published guides in the same category. Cross-category links appear in the prose when useful.

If a Help link 404s, that guide is not published yet. Check the hub again later, or use the FAQ for a short answer in the meantime.
