Services, testimonials, contact, embeds, blocks

Extra sections beyond intro, career, and showcase.

Quick start

  1. Sign in, open My Portfolios, and click Edit on a portfolio to open /portfolios/edit/[pid].
  2. In the sticky jump nav, click Sections to land on Contact Form (section-contact). Turn Enabled on, set a Section Title if you want, then Save / Update.
  3. Optional: scroll up slightly to Services & Pricing or Testimonials, click Add, fill the required field (Service Title or Reviewer Name), then Save.
  4. Know that Embeds and Content Blocks are Pro (custom-embed-blocks and custom-blocks) — Free accounts see the upgrade gate instead of those lists.
  5. Confirm the contact form preview shows Enabled, or that your new service/testimonial card appears in the list.

Editor chrome and jump labels: Portfolio editor overview. Projects and gallery: Projects and gallery. Visitor-facing form behavior: Contact form for visitors.

Deep dive

Where these sections live

On /portfolios/edit/[pid], this guide covers five content areas:

SectionAnchorWhere in the editorRole
Services & Pricingsection-servicesAfter Gallery, above Page sectionsOfferings with optional pricing and media
Testimonialssection-testimonialsSame band as servicesReviews and endorsements
Contact Formsection-contactUnder Page sections; jump SectionsVisitor message form and contact display toggles
Embedssection-embedsUnder Page sections (Pro)Third-party embeds (scheduling, video, and similar)
Content Blockssection-content-blocksUnder Page sections (Pro)Custom hero-style promo bands you write yourself

The sticky jump label is Sections (target section-contact). The on-page divider above Contact Form / Embeds / Content Blocks reads Page sections. Use the ? next to that divider for a short reminder and a Learn more link back here.

Projects live under Career; gallery under Showcase — see Projects and gallery. Theme layout and styling are separate — see Theme editor overview. On Plus with extra pages, Appears on chooses which page a section shows on. Extra galleries, projects, and similar copies can appear on more than one page; some original sections still belong to a single page. Add extras from Additional sections: Compose your portfolio. Sharing extras across pages: Reusable sections and pages. Adding and renaming pages: Nickname, URL, and pages. Clients, Team, and Pricing extras: Clients, team, and pricing.

Services & Pricing

Services & Pricing is for offerings visitors can scan — coaching packages, creative packages, retainers, and similar.

Click Add to open Add Service. Required: Service Title. Optional fields include description, pricing, media, and a CTA. After save, each service appears as a list card with edit and delete (confirmation required).

Testimonials

Testimonials holds social proof from clients or colleagues.

Click Add to open Add Testimonial. Required: Reviewer Name. Optional fields include title/organization, star rating, quote text, and an avatar. After save, cards support edit and delete with confirmation.

Contact Form (owner setup)

Contact Form configures the built-in form on your themed page — this article covers owner setup only.

Open the section and click Edit (or expand the form). Key controls:

  • Enabled — turns the public contact section on or off.
  • Section Title and Intro Message — optional copy above the form.
  • Display toggles — Show Phone Number, Show Email Address, Show Address, Show Social Links (pull from profile / Connect where applicable).
  • Show Google MapPro (contact-form-google-map); needs a full street address on Profile and location visibility in Privacy (see Privacy, SEO, and analytics).
  • Allow messages from non-members — lets guests submit without a Portura account. Built-in anti-abuse is always on for those messages. Email verification is an optional extra proof step. There is no Google CAPTCHA setting.

Save with Update. Guest inquiries can show a short Recent guest messages preview on the editor card when guest messaging is enabled.

Custom fields (Add field, Type, Required) are Pro / Plus (custom-contact-form-fields). How to add them: Custom contact form fields.

Submissions land in your email and/or the in-app inbox — see Conversations. How visitors fill the live form is covered in Contact form for visitors; do not treat this editor article as the visitor how-to.

Embeds vs content blocks

Both sit under Page sections and are Pro-gated. They solve different jobs:

EmbedsContent Blocks
Gatecustom-embed-blockscustom-blocks
PurposeDrop in a supported third-party URL (iframe / provider embed)Write your own headline, body, media, and optional CTAs
Typical useScheduling widgets, video players, and similar providersPromo bands, callouts, and custom story sections

Embeds — click Add to open Add Embed. Pick a provider, paste an allowed URL, optionally set title/nickname and Enabled, then save. Lists show provider labels and Enabled/Disabled. Plan limits cap how many embeds you can add (the Add button tooltip shows the max when you hit it). Supported providers and URL rules live on the FAQ — this article does not paste the full provider list.

Content Blocks — click Add to open Add Content Block. Build a hero-style section (headline, text, media, CTAs). Reorder with drag or Rearrange when you have more than one. Plan limits apply the same way as embeds.

Appearance on the public page still comes from your theme. Content here is what you author; layouts live in the theme editor.

Privacy and visibility notes

Contact display fields and guest messaging respect portfolio privacy settings. Location-dependent options (such as the map) need Profile address data and location visibility. Full privacy, SEO, and GA setup: Privacy, SEO, and analytics.

Tips

  • Turn Contact Form Enabled on before you expect the public section to appear — saving copy alone is not enough if the toggle stays off.
  • Add at least one strong Service Title or Reviewer Name entry before polishing optional media.
  • Prefer Content Blocks for your own copy and CTAs; use Embeds when you need a live third-party widget or player.
  • Guest messaging does not require Email verification. Built-in spam checks always run; turn on email verification only if you want visitors to prove that inbox.
  • Save open side panels before Publish / Publish draft — active edit sessions keep publish disabled.

Next to the Page sections divider in the editor, use ? for a short reminder and a Learn more link back to this article.

Troubleshooting

I cannot save a service or testimonial

  • Look for fields marked Required and the save-row message asking you to fill required fields.
  • Services & Pricing — confirm Service Title.
  • Testimonials — confirm Reviewer Name.

Contact form save failed after enabling guest messages

  • Guest messaging no longer requires Email verification. Built-in spam checks always apply, and there is no Google CAPTCHA setting.
  • Confirm Enabled and Allow messages from non-members are set the way you want, then retry Update.

Embeds or Content Blocks show an upgrade gate

  • Those lists require Pro (custom-embed-blocks / custom-blocks). Open SettingsBilling to upgrade, or keep using Contact Form, services, and testimonials on Free.

Google Map toggle is disabled

  • Add a full street address under Profile, and turn on location visibility in Privacy settings.
  • Confirm your plan includes Show Google Map (contact-form-google-map).

Extra sections look empty on the public page

  • Confirm you saved the panel and published (or previewed) after the change.
  • For Contact Form, confirm Enabled is on.
  • For embeds, confirm the item shows Enabled.
  • Check that the section is visible in your theme; placement and styling come from the theme editor, not these forms.
