Mira portfolio review

Ask Mira to review and propose portfolio improvements.

Quick start

  1. Sign in, open My Portfolios, and click Edit on a portfolio you own to open /portfolios/edit/[pid].
  2. In the lower-right corner, open Mira (Ask me about your portfolio). The panel header shows Portfolio editor.
  3. Type a review request or suggestion (for example, improve your summary, tighten a project description, or prepare an SEO title and description), then click Send.
  4. If Mira returns a change proposal card, use Preview to compare values, then Apply to save the change into your editor data, or Skip to dismiss it.
  5. You should now see applied updates reflected in the matching editor sections (refresh the page if a reload toast appears).

Deep dive

Owner review Mira vs visitor Mira

MiraWhereMode labelPurpose
Owner reviewPortfolio editor (/portfolios/edit/[pid])Portfolio editorReview your content and optionally propose edits you can apply
Visitor chatPublic portfolio pageAbout this portfolioVisitors ask about the published portfolio — it does not edit your draft

Only owners see review Mira in the editor. Visitor Mira is a separate public-page chat — Visitor Mira chat. Pro: Hide visitor Mira chat under Privacy hides the Mira widget on your public portfolio (/p/[slug] and custom domain) — see Privacy, SEO, and analytics.

Open the panel and ask for a review

  1. Expand the fixed Mira control in the lower-right of the editor.
  2. Read the mode label Portfolio editor so you know you are in owner review, not public visitor chat.
  3. Optionally open the chat actions menu (three dots) → Attach a job description to give Mira a saved JD for context, then pick one from the list.
  4. Ask in plain language — for example, review your Intro sections, suggest stronger project wording, or call out gaps.
  5. Click Send. While Mira works, the panel shows Mira is typing.

Change proposals: Preview, Apply, Skip

When Mira suggests concrete edits, a proposal card appears under the reply. The card shows a short summary. For a single change it also shows an action badge (add, update, or delete), a section name, and often a short value preview. Multi-change cards show how many changes are included (and note when deletions are involved).

ControlWhat it does
PreviewOpens Preview portfolio update — a read-only compare of current vs proposed values. Close the dialog, then decide in the chat.
ApplySaves the proposal into your portfolio editor data and shows a success toast. The editor reloads the latest snapshot when possible.
SkipDismisses that proposal card without changing your portfolio.

Only use Apply when you want those edits. Skipped proposals stay out of your content. After applying, review the affected section forms and save/publish as you normally would — see Publish and drafts.

For Pro and Plus, Mira can prepare portfolio-wide SEO title and meta-description updates. On Plus, Mira can also target an existing extra page. SEO proposals are text-only: applying one preserves the social sharing image and portfolio favicon. Use SEO & Sharing or an extra page’s SEO settings when you need to change images. Home SEO uses the portfolio-wide settings.

Not Theme Designer or theme assist

Owner review Mira edits portfolio content (profile text, career items, gallery copy, and similar). It is not the theme tooling:

For visual layouts and colors, open Edit theme from the workspace menu instead of expecting review Mira to restyle the page.

Tokens and usage

Asking Mira to review uses AI tokens (usage credits). Current allowances, account credit, and plan differences change over time — check the FAQ and Plans and tokens. This guide does not hard-code prices or token counts.

Chat tools

From the Mira panel overflow menu you can:

  • Download the transcript (TXT, Word Doc, or PDF)
  • Attach a job description / Hide job description picker
  • Reset chat to clear the current review conversation

Per-message download actions are also available on assistant replies.

Tips

  • Be specific (“rewrite my summary for a product role”) so proposals stay focused.
  • Attach a job description when you want suggestions aimed at a particular posting.
  • Use Preview before Apply whenever a card includes deletions or several changes.
  • After Apply, skim the section forms Mira touched before you publish.
  • Remember visitor Mira on the live page answers guests — it does not replace this owner review panel.

Troubleshooting

I do not see Mira in the editor

  • Confirm you opened Edit as the owner — collaborators do not get the owner review panel.
  • Look for the fixed control in the lower-right; click the chat control to expand if it is minimized.

Mira replied but there is no proposal card

  • Not every reply includes applyable edits — Mira may give advice only. Ask for a concrete change if you want a Preview / Apply / Skip card.

Apply failed or the editor did not update

  • Read the error on the proposal card or toast, fix the issue, and try again.
  • If you see a toast that changes saved but the editor could not reload, refresh the page to see updates.
  • Some changes need matching plan entitlements (for example Pro-gated sections). Check Plans and tokens or the FAQ.
